Location: Owings Mills, MD.

Job Description:

Responsibilities: 

  • Develops financial reports for Project management
  • Summarizes financial transactions and events in accordance with standard accounting principles. 
  • Position will involve the use of various software applications, such as spreadsheets, relational databases, and graphics packages to assemble, manipulate and/or format data and/or reports. 

 

Requirements: 

  • BS Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business plus 6+ Years experience. 
  • CPA or MBA Preferred. 
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and experience with Clarity, JasperSoft, Oracle, and Ariba is a plus. 
  • Strong knowledge of financial industry standards and best practices. 
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills with proven financial analytical skill. 
  • Must demonstrate attention for detail, multi-tasking skills, well organized and work well under pressure. 
  • Position requires excellent PC and financial systems skills and the ability to work independently or as a team member. 
  • Excellent customer focused orientation. 
  • Good working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

 

Specifically

  • Provide support for Corporate Initiatives Project, including preparation of funding requests
  • Report on project status, including budget, forecasts and actual spend 
  • Perform variance analyses and provide ad-hoc reporting
  • Provide accounting guidance to project managers, including capitalization and coding
  • Reconcile financials between accounting and CA PPM systems 
  • Assist in process improvement, procedure documentation, etc.
